EVERY WOMAN AND CHILD DESERVES TO ENJOY THEIR RIGHTS
Join the fight for equal rights
We thank you for your interest in joining us. Our volunteers work ‘behind the scenes’ in supporting Haguruka’s legal team, communications, programs and outreach.
Whether you are a student or have a full-time job, whether you have a few weeks to give or a few months; we are happy to work around your other commitments and we will find a way to make it work.
At Haguruka, we offer volunteers the option to join three main departments:
Legal Aid Department: With over 416 paralegals across Rwanda, we provide legal support to women and children whose rights have been infringed upon. Our legal aid department requires members to have obtained their qualifications in order to legally operate in court.
Program Design Department: As the name suggests, this department is in charge of designing projects, as well as organizing fundraisers as well as looking for and reaching out to donors. As part of this department, you would choose whether you want to focus on projects, which would entail following up on the projects Haguruka has launched and brainstorming new ideas. You could also decide to focus on the funds, in which case you would look for donors or other ways to raise money to fund Haguruka’s work.
Communications Department: This department manages and creates content for the social media platforms and the website. In addition to this, members document Haguruka’s impact, write success stories and blog posts. Although previous experience is appreciated, it is not a requirement for this department.
